HCIC M-1465263 Front‑end loader boom hydraulic cylinder: 4.5-inch bore, 2.5-inch rod, 46-inch stroke. Direct-fit for refuse truck front loader arm assemblies. Pressure-tested, OEM spec available.
A front loader is only as reliable as its arm cylinders. The arms reach, grab the container, lift it over the cab, and dump. If the arm cylinder fails, the whole route stops.
The front‑end loader boom hydraulic cylinder is the two-sphere arm cylinder for front end loaders — 4.5-inch bore, 2.5-inch rod, 46-inch stroke. It is built to the M-series (McNeilus-style) application spec from our 2026 catalog, and it is pressure-tested before it leaves the plant.
4.5" bore. The force. Working pressure acting on this piston area gives the arm its lifting power for standard refuse containers.
2.5" rod. The strength. It carries compression when the arm pushes, tension when it pulls, and resists the side loading that comes with cable-slung containers.
46" stroke. The reach. Long enough for the full arc from ground pickup to over-cab dump.
The three numbers are matched to the arm geometry of front end loaders. Change one and the whole motion changes. That is why we build to spec, not "close enough."

This cylinder works outdoors, fully exposed — road salt in winter, landfill grit year-round, rain and ice, and the occasional misjudged container pickup.
Two details decide its life:
The rod surface.Hard enough to shrug off grit, smooth enough to protect the seal, corrosion-resistant enough to survive salt. This is where cheap cylinders die young.
The seal package. The rod spends most of its life extended, dragging contaminants back through the wiper. The wiper scrapes debris off before it reaches the rod seal — not optional on a refuse truck.
Send your OEM part number. We cross-reference against the M-1465263 spec and confirm fitment — mounting style, port orientation, and thread standard (SAE, NPT, BSP, ORFS).
Spec the mounting.Pin eye, clevis, or cross tube, with pin diameters.
Plan the volume.Standard configuration MOQ is 10 units. Fleet replacement programs get volume pricing.
